This is due to growing interest by city governments, the corporate world and academics, who are happy to use them in analytical and marketing endeavours. However, building a city index is challenging, as results can often turn out biased. This short report focuses on the key biases affecting city indices, and provides some recommendations on which city comparisons make most sense.
