The World Urban Forum exhibition, of which the university exhibition is a part, will showcase some of the world's premier cities and innovations in urban development. The exhibition will be open to delegates and the general public and is an opportunity to share experiences, best practices and innovative ways to improve cities. Entries to the University Exhibition should relate to its theme of "The Urban Future".

The setup of the HPUI forum and exhibition is shown below, it includes separate exhibition booths for universities as well as a joint forum for presentations etc.

Registering to use the joint forum space: The exhibition space includes a joint forum of 36m2, shown above, which can be used for launches, presentations of papers etc. If you want to make use of this space please indicate this in an email to hpui@unhabitat.org stating:

• Presenter
• Name of University
• Title
• 50 word abstract
• Length of presentation (not exceeding 90min)
• Preferred timeslot (3 options)

Exhibiting at the World Urban Forum: Habitat Partner University Initiative organizes the part of the World Urban Forum which brings together universities in a common exhibition, providing an umbrella under which academia can show and discuss their work under a common theme. The option available within this space is:

STANDARD SHELL SCHEME BOOTH:
Size: 9sqm (3x3 meters) Cost: €150.00 + VAT 21% per sqm.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Includes:

• 4 cm thick honeycomb panels, height 2.50 meters painted one color for all the booths.
• Carpeted floor, one color for all the booths.
• 1 laminated table measuring 1.40x0.70 meters, with a height of 0.75 meters.
• 3 lacquered iron chairs and 1 PVC seat.
• 1 waste basket.
• Front wall / pylon 30x30x400cm.
• Display panels / pylon 30x30x250 cm.
• Forex / melamine and / or digital printed fascia with the exhibitor/organization name.
• Power source: EEC framework with switch and socket 220 volts, 300 watts, 2 spot lights and wires.

Requests for additional elements must be ordered through the Official Booth Contractor (Mostra d'Oltremare Spa). Such additional elements are considered optional services and will generate additional fees, apart from those concerning the booth itself.

To exhibit work from your university at the World Urban Forum follow the below steps:

1. Send an expression of interest for an exhibition space to the HPUI office, stating:

• Titles and names of participants
• University
• Department
• A short description of what you intend to exhibit (theme, format
• The exhibition space required. See the above STANDARD SHELL SCHEME BOOTH, for setup in the available space and indications of costs.

2. Formally register your exhibition space online:

• Register as an EXHIBITOR here
• Where once selected "Exhibitor" under "Primary role at this meeting" you will be able to select a booth type as well as add any other comments or queries. PLEASE NOTE: If you intend to exhibit within the University Exhibition, select "Standard Shell Scheme Booth" and thereafter select 9m2.
• The WUF secretariat will review your application and make a tentative booking for your organization. The Deadline for applications for exhibition space is 15 July 2012.
• Complete your payment to the Mostra d'Oltremare SPA by 23 July 2012.
• You will then receive your booth confirmation and final booth location in due time. Remember that the final location will be confirmed one week before the forum opens.
