UN-Habitat has produced a new series of ‘quick guides’ on Urban Patterns for a Green Economy, showing how cities and city-regions can employ sustainable patterns for a green economy. These guides aim to inspire city managers to think more broadly about the role of their cities, and collaborate with experts and interest groups across disciplines and sectors to promote both human and environmental prosperity.
The guides were launched at several events at Rio+20 and they were well received by policy makers and practitioners from a diverse range of member states and cities. They can be downloaded from the UN-Habitat page of the UNCSD Rio+20 website. Click here for details
